Sheepishly, I going to shock no one by stating my opinion that the Beatles
were a fine performing band back then. There are several CDs of live
Beatles including "Live At The BBC" (no screaming at all) and "At The
Hollywood Bowl" (plenty of screaming).
These titles reveal that they were a tight, beat oriented, harmony-singing
organization, like Rockin' Jake. They were a garage band in many respects
and there's nothing wrong with that.
