Remember the other Jacquie Susann movie, "once is not enough". I thought the book was pretty good, strictly Jacquie. The movie was not that great but I saw it at the theater and remember thinking Alexis Smith was a great bull busting bitch. Then off she went for her lesbian encounter with, wasn't that Melina Mercouri?, her girlfriend. Where I came from that was major taboo and there are the two of them loving and getting it on. I was shocked. Wow!!!!! I remember, though only about 15 or 16 at the time, thinking. Right on girls, good for you. Get it girl, even if I was uncomfortable with the major hush, even in the quiet theater, that came over the crowd. Always thought Jacquie hit it right on with the title of the book. David Janssen, why she was hot for him I will never know or understand, dumping her and said something like we had it once, to which she replied, "but, once is not enough" Found that classic.
