It's a little after midnight and I just returned home. Robert Plant is
howling from the other room, as I turned the on the tv and "The Song Remains
the Same" happened to be on.

I did have a marvelous time tonight and learned some new things, one of
which is drinking a little Jack Daniels before you sing, really opens your
vocal chords up if you've had/have a cold, really it works...

A younger highschool kid opened up for me at about 9:45 and of course all
his friends were there and of course they all filed out of the music room
after his set (along with him) and as I sat and listened to his entire
performance I found that kind of rude but then they're only in highschool so
I can't expect much more...a few people did stick around including one kid
who listened to my whole set so there you go. Ken and Steve were there from
Stone Mountain and it was great to see them again.

I really felt tonight that after playing with the dead band to rooms with a
hundred people, I've really retained the energy I experienced there and with
the powerful LRBaggs pickup I use, I could almost hear drums behind me and
in any case, conveyed all of that energy in my playing and it didn't make a
difference that there were only a few people in the room. It is a really
beautiful room to play in, with candles, about 8 couches, and several comfy
chairs. I wish there was some way I could beam people in by satellite.

"Velveteen rabbits and moonbeams,
Come when you lay down your head.
While you are sleeping, they kiss you and tell you,
That you are the reason the sun lights the sky."
