Welcome,"redmist". You mentioned

>>>"Blue", "For the Roses" and "Court & Spark" and even the uneven "Miles of
Aisles"

I love those albums too. Since you are already familiar with "Judgment of
the Moon And Stars", you might also like her extended piano/orchestral piece
called "Paprika Plains" on "Don Juan's Reckless Daughter". The extremely
personal lyrics of "Blue" are evident on what many here think is her finest
hour, an album called "Hejira". The jazzy parts of "Court And Spark" were
later fleshed out in "The Hissing Of Summer Lawns". In fact, her jazz
singing was never better than on "Mingus" which was enthusiastically
welcomed by Leonard Feather of "downbeat Magazine". Joni sings some
standards of the 40s on "Both Sides Now" with a huge orchestra replete with
audiophile-grade recording.

Where live performances are concerned, I think that "Shadows And Light" is
beyond comparison; it's even available as a video on VHS and DVD (in high
quality stereo) and includes my favorite guitar solo ever captured on mag
tape.

In short, redmist, "there's **MORE** where that came from"!!
