A young man of 33 phoned to day after a puppy. He sounded very nice on
the phone. I learned he was a banker, had recently broken up with his
fiance, bought a new house. He has bought the puppy her bowls already-in
fact just one-a combo for food and water that was shaped like a floppy
dog. He sounded very excited and somewhat camp.

He duly arrived. A very pleasant looking 'coloured' man(I say coloured
becasue he wasn't asian and he wasn't afro caribean or Black and when i
asked he said he was amixture of various europeans) ) with a lovely open
face and eyes and smile. He was still excitted and showed the blanket he
had bought for her. 'would she like the colour?' he asked. He asked if I
would tkae him to the Pet Shop and help him choose the right collar and
lead. He then asked my opinion about which colour would best match her
coat colour.
he has called twice already, once to aske me how to clean up puppy
pee. Bog roll, I said, soaks it up pretty good. Oh and he also asked if
his own Herbal essence shampoo was good for her. Finally, he said he was
naming her Jesse.

Now was he or wasn't he? If he was, do you think someone should tell
him?

Seriously, this is a wonderful home for the puppy. I had kept her
longer than usual(6 extra weeks) cos only wankers expressed an interest
in buying her. There are so many of them about. Most cannot even say
Lhasa Apso. Then there are those that wnat a particular colour cos of
their carpet. Or those that own a big dog, the gaurding type, who want
soemthing small for the children to play with!! Even without the big
dog, my answer is still no.
