How can we not forgive you! You are too sweet a guy :-)

Thanks for the explanation though. I knew you'd clear things up.

And.... I'd like to make it clear that it is a *Les Irvin* problem rather
than a Smoe problem. Jeff at Smoe was kind enough to take steps to stop
the bleeding which was caused solely by me.

I feel the need to explain (for those who are still willing to listen to me
:-)....

The "today" posts are set up to issue automatically on a daily basis. The
first person to hit the JMDL website after 2AM each morning automatically
triggers the emails. A note is then made in the database indicating the
email has been sent for the day so that all subsequent hits to the page do
not trigger the same email. Late on the 15th, I made an untested update
to the page that had a programming error in it. Because of this, the code
began recognizing the "send the email out" command, but ignored the "it's
already been sent" portion.

So... every single time someone visited the website on the 16th.... an
email got sent to the list.

Again, my sincere apologies for the 418 unwanted email messages. Please
let me know if this caused any problems with your mail service and I'll do
what I can to make it right.

Les, who may never need to post again. :-)
