Dear All

Been reading the posts 'bout Joni's work being split into two
categories of heart (ealier) and mind (later). I'm unconvinced. Would
we be saying the same things if it were a man's output being
discussed. Perhaps 'time to reflect' is the added dimension to the
later work but I feel she has always cleverly 'see-sawed' the
heart/mind thang. Think of some of her earliest works...Gift of the
Magi...direct literary reference (or homage) but clearly about a
'portait of a disappointment'.....Fiddle and the Drum...political but
personal.... See...irrefutable evidence thru two
examples....lol...er...I'll go now..head back down below the parapet.
Anyone else care to cite examples?
