wow Les! thanks so much for sending this information! What a great game
six degrees is because of all the behind the scenes information that is
shared, thanks to Bob also. I am a huge Bruce Cockburn fan and am
thrilled to see that he is so well known south of the border. :-)) I
saw him in the early days, in concert here in Hamilton (Hamilton
Place)..can't remember the year. It was incredible.
He was so young! For some reason, I remember this ... he wore a plaid
shirt, jeans, boots, and most of all, I remember that he was so humble.
He seemed really touched that he was so well received. He is an
incredible guitar player, writer, singer, activist. He did an awesome
show, just Bruce and his guitar. He had those brass chimes hanging from
his wrist and the sound was magical..just a hint of bells as he moved
his arm. Hamilton Place is a fairly large venue, however, it felt like
we were in a small club because Bruce was so warm and open all through
the night. Bruce sure gets around. He has performed with Jonatha Brooke
on her CD Plumb (thanks for the reminder bro).
Bruce was in concert in Toronto recently at Con Hall and I am still
kicking myself because I waited too long to get tickets, and sure
enough, they were sold out once I got around to it. Perhaps he will be
in the Philly area sometime soon.
And speaking of guitar playing .. Les, have you heard the CD called Six
Strings North of the Border (a collection of Canadian guitarists) ? It
is fabulous and I think of you everytime I hear it.
Mags.
