I just got off the phone with Wally K., and things are worse in Argentina. He's lost his job and is working about 3 hours a week. Being the warmhearted, loving man that he is, he still managed to sound great. On Friday, he just got turned down for a Visa for his trip to the U.S. Being a single unemployed male is next to impossible to leave the country.
So, unfortunately he won't be attending Jonifest this year. He also said that the cost to use the internet is outrageous, so we won't be hearing from him for quite awhile. He wanted me to tell everyone how much he misses his Joni family, and he loves you all. He will try to post a message sometime in the future. He *does* have a new significant other that is living with him, and he's very happy about that. It's amazing how someone who's country is going through so much could still bring a warm smile to my face. Jimmy
