I haven't heard Alan Joyner but Eric Schwartz, who I travelled across Canada with on the Folktrain, has an album called "Pleading the first: Songs my mother hates" which, I suppose, you either get or don't get. I suspect my 81 year old mother would wonder why I laugh so hard at his song 'Stoned People', particularly the line about his cat!
