Well, it's possible. It may not be very likely, statistically speaking, but it's possible. In my own family, one relative was 44 when she gave birth to her last child, and another was in her late forties or even early 50s when she had *her* last. And that was long before the days of IVF and other techniques of assisted reproduction. I'm not comfortable speculating much more about such intimate details of Joni's life. However, I will say, as someone else already has, that if this rumor is true, I can only imagine how difficult and painful that loss must have been for her. Mary P.
