Hi Gene, I've heard two different versions of the origin of the name America. Thought it was from Amerigo but then read something somewhere that said it had another source. Do you know? Vespucci was a sort of childhood hero to me because he was also said to be the "father of geography" and I was a major map nerd ;-)
