does anyone remember the shiny orange 313 sticker on my guitar case? its my detroit pride sticker!!! c'mon, detroit isn't so bad! its got lots of cool stuff going for it. (despite the syphillis epidemic). history amazing festivals ALL the time its 80% african american (what other city can say that?!) and, ahem, music. electronic music in the US comes out of detroit. motown. neo-blues garage bands (eg: White Stripes) hip hop (eg: Eminem, regardless of whether you like him or not...) and last but not least, the awesome polar bear exhibit at the zoo! (actually i haven't seen it yet but its supposed to be fab). oh yeah, and joni lived here. -yael
