I am just excited that Ry Cooder may be on the album. I heard
somewhere in the reports that he may have been on one of the tracks. The
last 2 1/2 years I have been a pretty big RY fan and the idea of him and
Joni collaborating or just having his guitar behind her voice with the same
orchestral maneuvers as "both sides Now" as the background, excites me. I
really do hope he is on the album. I am content with the song selection. I
will love to hear "Sex Kills" with orchestration eventhough i am a bit
skeptical. I am a bit upset that nothing from Hissing is on there. Edith and
the KingPin could be fleshed out beautifully and I know, Sweet Bird, Harry's
House and even Shadows and Light would fit appropriately on the discs. But,
nontheless, I am content and eagerly awaiting NOvember. My only question,
"What no Dog Eat Dog or Chalk Mark numbers??!"
