This is the bottom line, I would say...we are very prey to hype, but if it
doesn't deliver the goods it quickly falls off the radar screen. Norah
delivers the goods, I think. She doesn't seem to be a pre-fabricated
"star", just a solid talent who had good buzz and has the talent to stick
around. In the interviews I've read, she comes off as accessible and
unpretentious. Everytime I play her CD for someone who's not heard of her,
you can just see the ears perk up and ask "hey - who's that?"

Hopefully her next project won't be overproduced and bloated. That happened
with Macy Gray imo...a lot of what I liked about her first record wasn't on
her follow-up.
