I heard the live version way before CMIAR came out (Long Beach 86 in person, and Amnesty 86 on TV) and always liked it. Perhaps a great deal of these discussions (I don't mean necessarily with you Deb) about for example liking Songs to a Seagull and hating DED boil down to the "folk" era lovers not liking the other stuff and vice versa? Laurent
