This is an extension over the MTV vs children thread. I am concerned that whenever I play (good) music to my 2 daughters (9 &11) they positively hate it. They listen to the French equivalent of Britney Spears. The only exception was Joni on PWWAM whom they thought wasn't as bad as the rest, and James Raymond (David Crosby's son) whom they found cute. I've been having an off-list discussion with Sarah Cartwright who thinks that the music gets ingrained in them no matter what. But I'd like to know how JMDLers have either succeeded or failed in instilling good musical taste to their children.
