Don't you all think Joni was much more involved in promoting BSN than she
was in any previous release? I mean, BSN virtual greeting cards?! And all
those truly wonderful live television performances. Looking forward to more
of the same soon. Where is Rosie when we need her???????????

But wasn't that more than a decade ago? She just seems decidedly less
interested
in doing that stuff these days. I really hope to be proven wrong, because
Joni's
involvement in the marketing of her records is just as important as any
label's effort.

Besides the Gap ads were cool back then (some of them still are) and they
were
more about musicians as musicians not musicians as models. So it was a bit
like
doing the Apple "Think different" ads.

And the underlying point was that Faith Hill, unlike Joni, doesn't seem to
turn down
much when it comes to promotion. After all, her thing is really about the
face, then
the song and not so much the performance. She was on some show recently
performing her new single and the weakness of her voice really showed.
