Lauren Bacall is straight. But I agree with Joni that american women in S. California tend to have a high pitched voice, at least nowadays. As Kakki said, must be the cheerleader/Valley Girl syndrome. By the way, I find myself agreing with Kakki and SC Bob 99% of the times.
