I understood Bruce. Sorry if I sounded too strong. That particular song sings to me. I have yet to hear Laura Nyro and come to think of it have never even seen a Laura Nyro album, ever, in my lifetime. Rather strange. Even after sifting through countless piles of 8-tracks, cassettes, and cd's, in 45 years. I was just feeling that ole James was getting somewhat of a rap and I do like some of his music very much, and some of Joni's leaves me cold. Apples and oranges again. But when she is good, she is very good, to write the least. I did read the comment by someone (and I apologize to whomever it was for I cannot remember)that CMIAR was a better album than most others in the general music world (paraphrasing). I think it is terrible judging by any standard. My biggest complaint about it is that I just cannot hear Joni and I hate that.
