We may not be aware why something is a political act, but that doesn't mean it isn't one.
Buy a pair of jeans and you could be supporting slavery. Buy food that originated in a country with a dictarship, and you are supporting that regime. Even tho the intention wasn't there, loving and having sex with a person of a different race or the same gender is a politcal act, having friends of different races is also. It isn't a weird concept at all, it seems obvious to me. an act is not the same as a thought. you may think that child slavery or dictatorships are anathema to you, but if you buy their goods, you act opposite to the way you think.
