--Chris meanwhile back on planet earth, les is warming to travelogue. i concur with azeem's impression that mr mendoza attempts too much with some arrangements thereby burying beatuful work - including his own. the wtrf cuts are particular beneficiaries of the mendoza touch as is god must be a boogie man. flame war or not, i think hejira in this form is a travesty and have said so elsewhere. but for me it's still a brilliant collection of work that will become a favourite of mine. and it's such a pleasure to listen to joni sing. she sings beautifully. les (rushing off to a meeting)
