I tend to agree with Jerry on this one. For unrelated reasons I've
actually had to think about it this week. I tend to shy away from committees
myself but have had to deal with one lately at work. Normally I'd just quit
but I have a great job so I've been determined to see if there is some way
of making it work. It hit me this morning on the way too work. I was reading
the subway rag and there was an article about one of our multitude of
committees in TO and it said committees create nothing but white bread. Now
this got me thinking if they can create white bread why not white
paper.Committees don't make great art but if they're any good they can
provide the necessities for it.Committees are great for creating attention,
raising the necessary funds and hopefully choosing the right Artist,
Designer, Architect etc... and once they've made that choice and provided
the paper the creativity should be left to the Artist, Designer etc.. In
other words if you don't like melting clocks don't hire Dali.
