> > "No great art was ever created by committee." -- Jerry Notaro
This is Joni's statement, of course. Great art by committee includes every great movie (writers, director, actors, cinematographers, etc) and every great popular album (writer, performer, producer, engineer, art director, etc), every great classical piece (composer, musicians, conductor, etc) every great play (writer, actors, director, lighting, props, promoter, etc). Another statement I heard lately I would challenge "those who can't create become critics" Joni does both!! She is supremely creative, yet able to sweep away all current music admittedly without even being familiar with it. Wouldn't you like to sit her down and play her something and say 'what about this'? What would you play for her? RR > > > > > I tend to agree with Jerry on this one. For unrelated reasons I've > actually had to think about it this week.
