Yes, "Magsie the cat is alive" said in my best Liz Taylor voice :~) Muller
told me that Joni had mentioned my namesake in the Rolling Stone article, and
even if she was talking about THE Jimmy Stewart, it still made me happy. He

wonderful woman she is.

Sorry I didn't mark this post NJC, but I just didn't feel like it :-PPPP

Jimmy darling, Im sure we will both be forgiven for it is alas, the season of
forgiving and overlooking faux pas like not adding the njc to a post which really
doesnt have much to do with La Joan. so let's live on the wild side a little and duck
if we have to...I'll share my asbestos suit with you.

btw, I really liked Mike Pritchard's post earlier today...it made so much sense to me.
(of course, Im in one of his camps). Initially, I was ratherperplexed at how drastic
the reactions were with respect toTravelogue and Joan's voice...and yet, tis true,
this IS a discussion list and Ive actually been learning a lot from the various
reviews/reactions . Ive not heard it enough times to really say much . I would advise
Mike to at least listen to a real copy of the Cd rather than going by the Nonesuch
clips which did not do the work justice. And then he can dislike it or not, as he
pleases. And that's just fine too.

I was speaking with another Canadian lister about the reviews of Travelogue which have
been on the chilly side and I think it's a Canadian thing to take these things a
little personally. Im no longer worried about it, I just like seeing all the
discussion.
