One of Rockwell's complaints about T'log was its self indulgence. I don't understand this. Isn't all art self indulgent? Mustn't the artist indulge herself to create something unique? If Joni, or any artist, doesn't bend to commercial considerations or to public demands, then all her work is self indulgent, from Blue to Mingus to TI. peace, david
