Precisely who is one supposed to indulge, anyway? Though I share Bob's opinion in being underwhelmed by Travelogue, the criticism of self-indulgence has always escaped me when it is leveled at an artist in relation to their art.
Okay-I'm throwing this out to the list: What are your top CD's from 2002? They can include older music that you just discovered in 2002, as well. Stuff that you listened to a lot, and maybe still do now! In no particular order, these are my heavy rotation CD's 1 Lost In Space/Aimee Mann 2 Sea Changes/ Beck 3 HEM/Rabbit Songs (Laura Nyro fans should check this out) 4 Patty Griffin/1,000 Kisses 5 Kate Bennett/Over the Moon (thanks, Kate!) 6 Zero -7/Simple Things Honorable Mention (thrilled to hear them, but didn't listen repeatedly) 1 Joni Mitchell/Travelogue (don't hate me everyone) 2 Tori Amos/Scarlett's Walk
