This doesn't have anything to do with Joni, but I witnessed first-hand the benefits fainting can bring on my last trip to the US for Jonifest. I was on the flight from Auckland to LA (about 11-12 hours long) and was sitting on the aisle, next to the window seat. The guy next to me obviously hadn't flown much, eg. I had to show him how to work his seatbelt - which was confusing him a great deal more than it should have! He actually moved seats because he couldn't get his video screen to work (which suited me, because I then had both seats to myself, and I got his screen working in about 10 seconds), but after the meal he got up to use the bathroom, and while waiting in the queue, he fainted. A doctor was on board, and the last I saw he was being led up the aisle with an oxygen mask over his face, looking rather pale. After the flight I was outside in LA, having a long-anticipated cigarette, when he walked by. I asked him how he was, and he was absolutely fine - having spent about 10 hours of the flight in first-class, and by-passing all the queues for immigration! He said he'd never fainted before in his life, and had no idea what had happened but that he might try it again on his return trip! Hell
