Maybe the statement was ignored because people believe it's true, Darice? I
once lived in Hawaii and later moved from there to NYC. I noticed a HUGE
difference between the two places in terms of things "intellectual." In fact,
no one ever raved about a book to me while I was in Hawaii, and if I wanted
to see any foreign, non-mainstream Hollywood movies, the only choice was to
go to the art museum on Wednesday nights. Hawaii had many wonderful things
about it, but brainy people was not one of them!
