I'm a little behind on emails this week, but I love all the Joni content! I was thinking the other day about Joni's lyrics, and how she uses phrases or words that probably wouldn't occur to other artists. And I don't think it's a case of "look at what a big vocabulary I have", it's just that she's more descriptive, and more adventurous with her lyrics. What other songwriter would think to use the word "keloid" in a song, instead of "scar" (Talk To Me)?
