Its been my experience that artists always find inspiration. For now her
work might be done, but I would be very surprised if she is done for
good. There may be a lull but soon there will be a new beginning. Like
the death card in tarot, it's just the seasons changing. Energy changing
form. Of course here in Diego we don't have dramatic changes of season,
two week "rainy" season and then 70 degrees the rest of the year, but,
you see it on the beach, and, in the deserts, the coming of spring. The
other day I saw a bubble in the sand and then a crab poked her head out.
I could see bright orange roe clinging to her body under her arms. As
long as we live the struggle continues, and, it doesn't seem like it's
up to us when our journey is up. If we keep our ears to the ground I bet
we hear something else that inspires and transfixes us from Joni.

Ps. Will you take a check?

Subject: Right again!!

Who was it that said Joni stopped writing because she was reunited with
Kilauren?

Oh, yeah. It was me.

After I wrote that, exactly one person told me how right I was on that
point. Muller.

Tonight, I saw some big-time music critic say the same thing. Joni's
writing was all about a journey, a voyage, a loop, away from Kelly. Now
that she's reunited with Kilauren, her work is done.

I couldn't have said it better.

Well, maybe a *LITTLE* better. As I recall I said "What good is
catharsis
if you're pain free?"

BTW, does someone have that essay handy? I lost it when XP ate my
"Keepers"
folders.

PS, Following in Michael Moore's footsteps, I've decided to charge
admission
for access to my opinions. You are commanded to send me $8 each. Write
me
off-list for instructions. Do you think this is a free ride? You want
me
to spin gold outta hay, you got's ta pay. (The Boss via Rev. Jackson, I
suppose.)
