herbie hancock's big project right now is an orchestral tour based on the album 'gershwin's world'. i know, because one of our clients is the virginia arts festival and the hancock project has its premiere as part of the festival, with the virginia symphony, on may 3 in norfolk. the project looks an awful lot like joni's bsn tour to me, complete with guest stars. (his publicist says he's been dreaming of doing a big orchestra project for years, but i'm sure joni's experience kicked him into gear) i sure hope it's coming to new york (i won't be in norfolk until a week after the premiere.) so i'll bet the hollywood bowl perf is part of the tour. patrick np - ariadne auf naxos
