No flamesfrom me, Susan...Clapton has been overrated for most of his career
imo, at least smart enough to surround himself with good players, Duane
Allman, Steve Winwood, Jimmy Page etc...
I picked up "Riding With the King", his collaborative effort with BB
King...what a difference! Clapton phones in every vocal and every guitar note
he plays. BB, meanwhile doesn't know HOW to phone it in...you can almost see
the sweat he's working up on every song he does. It's incredible how the
record picks up momentum every time King plays & sings and fizzles every time
the narcoleptic Clapton pretends like he belongs on the same record.
Pat called Clapton a saint...you missed it by a letter Pat...he's an "ain't".
