Comparing BB and Clapton is like trying to suggest
that just because Bill Gates could buy and sell Donald
Trump 25 times over, that the Donald must be getting
ready to go on welfare. Well that's just not the
case. I could go you one further, and say that Otis
Rush would make BB sound like he's "phoning it in" as
you put it.
As for "Riding With the King" -- best thing about that
album is the royalty money being pocketed by one Mr.
John Hiatt, songwriter of the title cut! I should
qualify that statement by admitting that I am, for the
most part, a graduate of the Lester Bangs School of
the Blues ... ;-)
