While i'm in "Cher" mode, i may as well go on.... so far as i know, the album is initially available only through the website, but i thought that it would then go on general release. i hope that Cher makes it available only through the site. apparently she had a first hand role in developing that site, which at its launch was recieving five million hits a week. thinking back to an issue of People magazine or newsweek or something from last year, Cher ws interviewed (was she wearing a turban??) and spoke of the new album., she wrote the songs herself- there is even one about Kurt Cobains death on there! Sisters of Mercy is, i think, about her mothers ordeal at the hands of hte good sisters. it is fairly bland. there are other songs to be heard on teh website. Courtney Love placed a number of songs from her own library of Hole recordings on her site for anyone to download. live versions, b sides, covers, Kurt singing with her and so on. this was her way of taking back her music, and giving something ot the fans-Way to go Courtney! on a different note, my early education was given by these same sisters and was great. my sister was in their care until she finished second level, while i moved on to the Marist fathers. i consider that part of my education to have been great, as does my sister, so folks, things HAVE changed here in Ireland:-) wasnt Magdalene Laundries about Sisters of Charity?
