Hi Jmdlers,

Of Jonis work I would say, like others have, that many of the songs
on Blue have a strong emotional effect on me in particular, I
guess, River, Little Green and Case of You.

Sandy Denny can do it with so many of her songs Who Knows Where the
Time Goes, Solo, No End and heaps more! Im just emotional putty
in her hands!!

Another song that does it to me is Black Muddy River by the
Grateful Dead. Garcias voice and guitar shake my emotions on many of
their songs but this one especially gets me every time.

Other songs that press my emotive buttons include:

Visions of Johanna by Bob Dylan. (Particularly the acoustic version
on Live 1966. )
Belltower by Dave Dobbyn. (Kiwi Hell may know this one.)
Waterloo Sunset by the Kinks. (A beautiful song from the 1960s. It
has the same effect on me now as it did way back then.)
"Sands of Time" by Fleetwood Mac. (A Danny Kirwin song - his loss to
music is a tragedy.)

I know I could think of others but I must get to work!

Cheers,
John (in Sydney).
