Ok, so maybe 'lonely' isnt quite right...but I am a painter! A painter who happens to attend the ALberta College of Art (& Design) which as all true Joni-philes know was the place Joni 'studied' for a year before painting with words (and enthralling us all) I've painted the words "I am a lonely painter I live in a box of paints" on my studio wall. Maybe they'll be somehow inspirational, I don't know. I must admit, I am lonely in one way: I have not found anyone else who likes Joni's stuff as much as I do in my present residence of education. But then, how many 20-25 year-olds are interested in truly great music? BSB ...more like BS... which incidentally, are Britney Spears' initials...I see a pattern here... I would probably never have known how truly excellent Joni is had I not been looking at the CBC the night they aired Joni's magical 'Painting With Words and Music'. That's when the spell was cast! I went to the library and checked out 'Hejira' and 'Dog Eat Dog'.
