it is cool when you see a place you recognise in movies. it sort of gives a rush doesnt it? whenever i see an irish movie i almost alwyas know all the Dublin locations. and have actually lived in some of them. but parts of a recent movie called Saltwater, starring Brendan Gleeson, were filmed in teh secondary school which i attended. it was filme while i was there, and many of the extras are people i recognise. the writer Conor McPherson (he wrote I Went Down, i think) is a former student in that school. coincidently he is also went ot the same university as me. this same thing happens especiallay whenever i see any of those Roddy Doyle films -Commitments, Snapper, and The Van. they were al filmed pretty near to where i live, and friends of mine actually appear in some scenes! it's a strange experience isnt it Vince?
