Joni Met Nash in Ottawa?

At http://www.jmdl.com/articles/docs/960622oc.cfm today I read that Joni met
Graham in Ottawa.  Graham was still in the Hollies.  Apparently this was
before she moved to L.A. with David.  Previously I had thought that she met
Graham in L.A..  Hmmmm.....

The article didn't mention any date attached to the meeting.  Does someone
have a timeline?
