1. I have been outbid in the last few seconds of an auction on
more than one occasion. Keep the item in a separately opened
window so you can refresh it alot. Unfortunately, ebay servers
can be very slow or even stop working at times, other times they
are fine, so it helps to have a fast connection for this type of bidding.
2. Give yourself a limit on what you will pay for an item, and
stick to it, within reason.
3. You can find some great bargains on ebay, but you need to
be familiar with the value of the items. The new Hendrix 4 cd
box set sold for $51.00 on ebay. Amazon had it for $49.99.
4. ebay is the ultimate flea market/garage sale/collectors
market/classified. However, since Amazon's auction site is
smaller, sometimes you can get stuff cheaper there.
