what a joyful thing! 24 hours of non-stop jmdl love streaming my way!
this has been the most wonderful birthday i've ever lived!!!!!! never could
i have fathomed that i would receive so many beautiful messages and gifts
from all of you, my dear family. i am stunned: masses of posts, two phone
calls from CANADA, nude pictures of members [SERIOUSLY! and no pun...].
and the building DID suffer serious damage!!!! incredible as it may sound,
my birthday was heralded by a tornado that hit buenos aires on the 26th and
reached its highest peak at midnight! do admit!!! if this isn't some kind of
sign, then what is?!?!?!?!? i am naturally sorry about all the casualties
and losses; still, what more can one ask of life than one's own
meteorological disaster to mark one's 40th??? boy, do i like extreme
weather!
the sidewalk cafe where i had my little agapi on the evening of the 27th
practically had to be rebuilt for my party, which added to my feeling of
self-importance and DRAMA. all in all, what with the weather and all the
noise we made last night, the city will find it hard to forget december 27,
2000.
i want to thank every one of you for thinking of me so generously. i've had
birthdays and then I'VE HAD BIRTHDAYS!!! but i never felt so pleased and
tickled and honored as i did yesterday. i have saved your messages in a
special folder.
they are ''flashes from a brighter time'' to challenge the occasional voice
in the night.
