The fine folks in Charge at the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, in their wisdom,
have passed over Walter and Donald again this year. Thank God they
recognize that Walter and Donald are mere poseurs who know nothing of humor,
incisive lyrics, or quirky characters.
Furthermore, Steely Dan has consistently shown they know nothing of funk,
sophisticated musical interplay, jazz, or technical virtuosity.
Unlike their peers, they also have consistently shown a brazen disregard for
how the music is actually captured/reproduced. <Audiophile clears his
throat here.>
In fairness, Mister Fagan and Mister Becker DO seem to fully appreciate
irony and sarcasm when they see it. :)
