(soon-to-be-fiancee) was to return tonight from Lexington, Ky., where she
went on a (superficial Joni content>>)hejira (I gave her the round-trip
ticket for Christmas) to visit her father and her ailing grandfather, perhaps
for the last time.
She just called tell me her flight from Lexington to Atlanta was canceled and
her father is driving her to Cincinnati, from where she can get a direct
flight home to Jacksonville, the good Lord willing and the creek don't rise.
At least she'll have good landing weather here, cold but clear.
