As for Radiohead, if you don't have "The Bends", it is my favorite from them.
I just picked up "Pablo Honey" this weekend and it's also great - both are
much more accessible than Kid A BUT once you let those Kid A hooks into your
system, they're in pretty deep!
Kid A is a fave of both me and my son, so anytime a band can appeal
generationally like that you know they're on to something.
Also, thanks to a "Secret Santa" (love ya, Santa!), I got PJ's "Stories" CD.
I had previously trashed Rid Of Me which is still one of the worst CD's ever,
but Stories is MUCH MUCH better! The obvious Patti Smith comparison is there,
I just wish she didn't wail so much on some of the songs. But I've really
enjoyed it, and will be kinder to PJ. I may even go to see her if she comes
to my town!
