now this was really funny yesterday. i went to pick my son up at school and
he had some stray kid with him who needed a ride to the islands. so they get
in the car and i'm listening 'stories...' my 11 year old son in the back
seat, with this southern accent that still blows my mind, says...hey daad,
that's that wild laady from gung ho. and i say with all the south philly i
can muster....naaa...it i'nt her.

then the third song comes on and my son says...oh...y'all messin with
us..that's radio heyaad! and i say...naaa....it i'nt 'at either. so then,
being the smart ass i am, when that song ends i skip the cd to #7 where the
dude from radio head sings and the stray kid in the back seat jumps up and
goes...thaaat is tooo radio heyaaad!

and so i toss the cd cover back to them and say, look...it ain't patti smith
and it ain't radio head..ok! see!! so stop bustin on me.

and my son says...well she doesn't sound as mean as that gung ho laady but
they sure do sound the same.

and i thought but didn't say...now that's my boy!
