hi sorry if this came up before. i was at the library this morning, looking for books. i noticed a book with the title "coyote" and idly wondered whether it had anything at all to do with jonis song - a long shot, but i checked anyway. sure enough - the book was a love story about a character nicknamed "coyote" after the joni song. started reading it - a promising start, with a nicely ironic description of one of the characters wrecking her car when the song came on the radio, then bemoaning the fact that the owner of the other car didnt get the irony ; ) from there it seems to have just gone downhill into trendy romance slush - i somehow dont think im going to get much further. there have been a couple of other references to joni, but none with the promise of the opening scene. unfortunately, with all the excitement of finally getting hold of emmylou's "red dirt girl" (wonderful!!! all the beauty of "wrecking ball" but with more emmylou & less danial lanois. and it is about time she did some songwriting - anyone who could be - even partly - responsible for boulder to birmingham has to have some serious songwriting talent!!) i forgot the authors name. ron np - emmylou harris - bang the drum slowly
