Yes, i have had a similar experience.. For example with Court and
Spark, i used to skip right over Down to You and Just like this Train.. i
DONt know why,, i did and then over this summer (atleast 2-3 years since i
first bought Court and Spark) i started listening to them and got obsessed!
I understand about HOSL though, it does have a different sound.
ANd for some reason, i usually listen to HOSL in the summer time...
probably because i bought it in the summer of 97. But, i looked at the inner
gatefold sleeve of Joni in the pool, and i said, "that looks fun, I love to
swim and i like jOni mitchell" So, when ever summer rolls around and the
pool opens at my house, i dig up HOSL and put it on and i just lay in the
sun and swim in the cool water. songs like Edith and The Kingpin with its
carressing woodwinds and eased tempo, just set me adrift in the pool..
