It works, but *you* have to decide if it's not very nice. A 50 cent squirt
gun, filled with just water, will deter a cat from lots of things. The
trick is in reinforcing it enough. And wiping the water off whatever
surface you've just scrammed the cat from.
I love my critters, but I cannot abide them on some surfaces. Particularly
the kitchen counters. The squirt gun does work. :-\
