Just the wanderings of a young mind here...
When I hear 'and the gas leaks, and the oil spills, and sex sells everything
and sex kills' I think: what kind of society endorses such methods of
promoting products that can lead to unsafe behaviour? Where is the justice
in a society like this? Who cares about the effects of sex in media?
Is it all about the 'almighty dollar'? Do advertisers ever accept
responibility for the images and suggestive scenes they flash on screens and
billboards? Should they? What is just about millions dying from sexually
transmitted diseases, wildlife and the environment being irrepirably harmed
by multi-million-dollar companies?
Do we truly live in a just society? Or are we just fooling ourselves because
we happen to be more prosperous than the next country? It seems to me that
we really are 'governed by greed and lust', and the weak must truly 'suffer
what they must'.
