That's cool -- I can definitely understand that. For me, it was probably less 
distracting/disorienting alternating between the two performers, since I was familiar 
with both of their material, but for others, the transitions back and forth must have 
seemed awkward. Maybe it would be easier if they found another way to structure the 
show, whereby the performers still get the same amount of time in the spotlight as 
before, but without the flow of the show being broken up so much. (Maybe a short set 
of all Aimee, Penn's entire set, then a longer set of Aimee to finish the show?)

I think you did sum up in just two words part of what I like about Penn's music so 
much -- "very Beatle-ish"! No wonder it's hard for me to resist...
